Bundleboo Baby Carrier Review

Bundleboo Baby Carrier Review
The Bundleboo wrap style baby carrier is a new take on an old idea. While wrap style carriers have been around for as long as parents have needed to keep their babies safe and close, the Bundleboo offers a new twist. The Bundleboo baby carrier has a patent pending safety seat built right in. These leg holes make it less intimidating for new babywearers to use the Bundleboo. This is especially helpful for first time moms and dads who may already be nervous about dropping their baby.

The Bundleboo is a bit pricier than standard wraps. A Moby Wrap is $39.95 as of January 2008 and a Bundleboo in a plain fabric will cost you $69.95. However, the convenience makes up for the extra cost. One complaint that I often hear about the knit wraps is that they stretch too much for comfort with a heavier child. While not all parents have this concern, the Bundleboo does work better for heavier babies since it is made with a woven cotton fabric rather than a knit. Since wovens do not stretch you can use the Bundleboo up to 40 pounds (think t-shirt knit versus a woven button-front shirt).

Wrap carriers do a great job of distrubuting weight evenly across your back and shoulders so carrying a heavier baby is much easier with a wrap than it is with a pouch or front pack carrier. Wraps are highly recommended if you have back or jooint problems (be sure to check with your doctor first!). Holding a heavy baby on one hip is never good for your back and can easily lead to spine and muscle problems.

The Bundleboo offers 10 options for carrying your baby or toddler, so you will have lots of choices. It comes with an instructional DVD that makes it easy to learn the wide variety of carrying options. You can also get a designer Bundleboo in a wide variety of gorgeous fabrics.

Bundleboo Baby Carriers are machine washable, made in the USA and made from 100% cotton for breathability and softness. You can also feel good about buying a Bundleboo because a portion of every purchase goes to support Smile Train, a non-proift that helps children worldwide with cleft palate and cleft lip.
